Nightclub on Ban Tai Beach
Just when you think Haad Rin and Ban Tai have reached saturation point as far as clubs and event nights are concerned we get treated to another venture hoping to pull in the party crowd.
The original Ku Club was in Ibiza. It became a legendary nightspot as this was the place credited with creating the Balearic beat that helped to define Ibiza for a generation. Nothing new, as yet, has been created at the Ban Tai Ku Club.
It is a simple roofed area next to the beach with decks and bar. It is supposed to be modeled on the original Ku Club. Other than the name and the use of an image of the Hawaiian god called Ku there appears to be no resemblance to the European namesake.
Although these things change, at present Ku Club has events every Friday and Saturday. The residents are Graham Gold, Rory Gallagher, Rob Gritton and Snoopoid. They play a variety of genres including DnB, dubstep and hip hop.
They have also started a new night called One Night at Studio 54. The first night is 21st June, 2013. It is a night of disco classics, funk, boogie and oldskool.
The Ku Club also graces the second stage for the Rhythm and Sands parties.
The bar has Skittle vodka, ice cream cocktails and draught cider. They also serve pizza and Panini all night long.
